Today is officially the first day of Spring.  This signifies new beginnings and a period of growth, so let’s hope this has an effect on the economy! That said, we have definitely seen an increase in the numbers of interviews taking place and being arranged this week, which is always a positive indicator on the recruitment market.  We are also seeing a steady flow of new roles being registered.  What did someone say about “green shoots appearing”??

This Friday has been brilliant at BranWell Ford - we all have our RED NOSES on for Comic Relief -however we are finding breathing and drinking cups of tea a little difficult.  This week we have had a number of calls from concerned candidates who feel that the vacancies within the pensions industry are decreasing because there is a lack of advertising campaigns in the pensions press.  Please be assured this is not the case.  BWF have a higher volume of candidates in the marketplace and we are filling vacancies quicker than we can advertise them.  The market is definitely picking up. I don't know if it is due to company years coinciding with the tax year, but this week has seen a significant increase in pension administration, managerial and consulting positions.

Fantastic news this week - BranWell Ford has been nominated as Pensions Recruitment Consultancy of the Year for the UK Pensions Awards!  We are the current holders of the 2008 award and this is the 5th time that we have been nominated.  Regardless of this we have continued to strive to raise our standards and the levels of service that we provide our clients and candidates and it is great to see that being recognised.  A big thank you to all of you who gave recommendations on our service, which we incorporated into our entry.  You cannot beat great references!
