Well, it has been an interesting week in the news in terms of what ‘acceptable comedy’ is and where to draw the line. Whatever your views on the Jonathan Ross/Russell Brand incident I think there is a general air of change around and a move towards the ‘treat others how you would expect to be treated’ philosophy of life. The ripple effect of the credit crunch is pushing us all (some of us reluctantly!) to move away from consumer greed and re-discover what is really important in life. Candidates aren’t just moving for more money, and clients aren’t just looking to throw money at new recruits. Everyone is being more specific about exactly what they want and why. For a Recruitment Consultant this makes our job more interesting, and I for one prefer it that way.
